Jeffrey J. Haggerty, Esq. began his legislative career in Washington, D.C. in 1978 by working for the U.S. Congress.  Upon his return to Massachusetts, he became Chief of Staff to Senator Linda J. Melconian, where he remained from 1983 to 1993.  He also served as Senate Staff Director and Counsel for the Joint Committee on Insurance.  As Senate Counsel for the Committee, Mr. Haggerty was responsible for the legal and political analysis of legislation before the Committee, providing him a broad knowledge of health care, motor vehicle and regulatory issues pertaining to insurance.  His involvement in insurance related legislation brought him in contact with numerous members of the Senate wherein he developed many long-standing working relationships with these members.

Attorney Haggerty has been a member of the firm since 1993.  His involvement with clients include various organizations related to the automobile industry, insurance industry and non-profit associations.
